Reduced Cat Scan Radiation for Dental Implants

Many times in planning for dental implants a Cat Scan is required.   A medical grade Cat Scan is usually completed at a radiology center.  A newer form of Cat Scan uses cone beam technology to produce a very accurate image with greatly reduced radiation. Overall, I feel that this cone beam Cat Scan should now be the standard of care to produce an exceptional image at a greatly reduced radiation exposure to our patients.

We currently use digital xrays throughout our office, and it has become the standard of care to produce these images with as low a dose of radiation as possible.
